Can someone exlain how to hide categories/sections from some member groups please?

Hi I'd like to be able to hide forums from certain member groups (so that once they reach soo many posts they move up to the new member group and that member group can see more forums)

It's easy.

Administration Panel -- >General -- > Categories and Forums

Find Forum name you want to hide from somebody, and click on right side of Forum name.

Now you have Forum Permissions Control
Scroll down and you will see all Groups.

First uncheck Members permission, than you can manage others groups.

I meant can you hide categories/forums from "Ranks"?
