Can u report a forum for copying everything??

well my site is www.mummysworld.net we have a member whos a guy and has now opened a site daddys world someone i know joined and checked and he has everything the same as my even forums ie attachment parenting which not many sites have most is also the same layout.

Is it possible to report someone for this so they have to change it?

i don't think so, as it you can take someone idea and turn it into your own with a new name etc. Unless you have copyright for your own forum than i think you can do something.

He was a member on my site we banned him today

There maybe 3 forums differently named to mine the rest are the same layout names etc

I don't think there is anything you can do.


Alot of people copy the same ideas off others even the bigger sites like NM etc.

yes, but you have to proof that everything was make by you. Even the pix too, if you got some pix from elsewhere, edit it, and put it on your site. Then, you are the copier too.

same thing for the forum too. Since you using the forum lay out from forumotion. That person also choose the same theme at your. So, I think you can't do any thing in this case. What I suggest to you is to ask the expert in here to design you a new button for your forum, then no one can have that and can't copy that.

I reported someone because they done the same things,
They even went as far as copying posts and announcements

There forum was sent a request to change or be deleted and i reported them using the report link at the bottom of there page

Once reported who ever it is that looks into can see who's was created first and the resemblance between them,

I was sent an email about two weeks later saying that it was being dealt with

You CANNOT report him unless he is a Forumotion user. If he is not, the only way you can report him is to report him to his hosting site's staff. If your site has no copyright, you cannot report him though.
