posting images and videos to a forum
I can't find an easy, effective way (that works) to upload an image or a video to be included in a post.
I have an account set up to host the image
I upload a image (copy & upload)
the web address/image info prints in my post but not the image
What is totally odd is I have followed a procedure which did work (via trial and error), and now NOTHING posts except the [img:....] info
unable to find anything online addresses this (I think) very simple issue
Also, what is the procedure for posting a wmv file? Can a user click on an image of the wmv file (which is uploaded) then the image is hyperlinked to the wmv file?
Or do I have to post it on youtube (I'd prefer not) and insert the code into the post?
Is there a link that addresses these SIMPLE requests? I kinda feel st#pid asking these questions I have consulted everything online that I can find, can't seem to find nuttin' on this...Seems to be a great piece of s/w but the simple seems to be rather complex for me.
My forum is included in my profile if anyone cares to take a gander at this issue..[scratching head]
Thanks!
P.S. a bottle of wine or a 6 pk of your choice for the answer!

Hello,
Images can be displayed in posts by using the image-BBCode tags:
A linked image to a wmv file is also pretty much possible by using this code:

funky, man this is really funky...
Thanks for your reply Sunny...
what icon do I select to generate this?
how is that code displayed?
what keystrokes are entered to arrive at this result?
Please be precise.
After selecting the "host an image" icon, I have to manually copy the http code into notepad, then manually paste it into the reply post. unreal...
thanks Sunny,

Nearby the "host an image" button is also a normal "Image" button that you can click (). You just paste the direct link to your image in the popup box and click ok.
For the linked image, there is no button to generate this combination. You'd have to add the image and add the url tags manually, or the other way round. Probably it's easier in preview mode ().

thx Sunny....
yes, I did paste it using that icon...now it leaves a [img] tag on either side of the bottom of the image I posted..
we're still not there....
If I do it using the "link" icon (which was the way I figured it was), this [img] does not appear...

Please use the report button only when staff intervention is really necessary - in case of spam or otherwise inappropriate posts. I have not forgotten your thread.
Be sure you pasted the direct link to your image into the image-box. It does work properly. And about the link - well, as said, there is no direct button for this combination.
