Is there a way to have a separate welcome message for members and non-members.

Let's say:

For a non-member, have a message asking them to join and whatnot. And for a member, it shows all the recent events for the site?

No, I don't believe so. At least not without changing any html or CSS.

If you could use HTML/CSS, though, what code should you use?

Like for example:

For non-members:

"Welcome to xxxx Forums. We would love it if you joined, since you get tons of benefits, like posting privileges, and looking at more stuff."

And for members:

"Welcome to xxxx Forums.

Updates and Such and whatever is here.."

Like that.

Hello,

I suggest to place this welcome message in a forum widget or a portal widget. That way you can easily set the permissions - basically you add two widget boxes, one visible for guests, the other visible for members. Tutorials linked below. Smile
