chat box / question

you know how you have to log in before you can use the chat box , is ther any way to leave it up all the time , an also i found a website where you can make your own chat box an enable it to your site .. can you do this on fourmation .. if so where do you put the code thanks

can you please post the link of the chatbox site? so its easier to understand the question

first enable HTML in your profile/preferences

then create a message (message options allow HTML) copy and then paste the html code into your message

what im really tryin to do is make it so the chat box always stays up an the stuff people put up dosnt just get deleted... musket i tryed lookin for profile/preferences in the control panel but i couldnt find it what is it under .. also so you guys are sayin that fourmations will let you switch chat boxes ? im usein the stock one right now

profile/preferences is not in the control panel .....it's in your profile...subsection...preferences

it's not exchanging chat boxes it's an extra chat box that covers the web as well as the forum.........musket

sorry dude im really confused ..
so if i make a new chat box can i put it on my page or im i stuck with the stock fourmations chat box

i found a website where you can make chat boxes an enable them on fourms .. after you make the chat box it gives you a code to put it in your site where am i sopose to paste the code do you know if you can do this

Make a new 'topic' or new 'forum with a chat box topic in it' (tittle it) 'Chat Box' and paste the code into that.

I have'nt got the time be admin and sort out others forum problems.....I'm still learning myself how it all works


I have found though that with the 'xat chat box'

that it used my IP number to put spyware on my PC and then when I blocked the spyware the chat box would'nt work

properly, so maybe free chat boxes are not such a good idea, unless you can live with a lot of advertising thrown at you

or a lot of unwanted email.

So I deleted the 'xat chat box' from my forum....... .....musket
