Private Forum Empty Private Forum

Is it possible to make my forum private so that only members of our group can view or post? I don't want guests to be able to read the posts. Also, is it possible to not allow signups from the forum page itself, but only through my website? Thanks!

Sure
in General configuration
go to Categories and forums.
Click on Forum permissions control.
you need to click on each forum that you want to change.
tick MEMBERS for which ever permissions you want ei "view forum" "reply" etc

not sure about the sign-up question
