i don't want people to look at other people ip address

how do i delete the find ip address thingy on the main start to a topic or a reply to a topic

Only the administrators and moderators can view the ip address in messages.

If you really want to remove the IP button, you replace it with this adress in your Admin Panel > Buttons : https://2img.net/i/empty.gif (this is a transparent 1*1 picture). But this will be hard for you to check the ip address when there will be a need.

once more so your saying that only i can veiw the ip addresses and no one else?

If you didn't name any moderator, you are the only one to see the IP.

If you name moderators, they will see the IP addresses (see the topic "Moderators" in the Frequently Asked questions)

I just tried this and and it don't even show the IP help box if you move your mouse over the area the IP button was.

Not exactly.
If you pass your mouse over the 1px x 1px area, you will see it.
Or if you 'grab' and drag over the area, you see it quite clearly.
