How do I connect my domain name to forumotion?

I bought a domain name from name.com and I'm having trouble connecting it to forumotion.

When I typed my domain name in the personalized form, I get this error:

"The supplied domain name is not well configured
You have no CNAME redirecting to : mechscape.darkbb.com
You have configured a A type DNS ( A type redirects to an IP address, and not to a textual domain name like the CNAME )"

I don't understand what I'm supposed to do?

Alright it worked HOWEVER, when I click on one of my threads it does not show the thread it came from but just shows the domain name only.

Same with my domain any staff member help me

Im using my own domain too, at first i used framed forwarding, but this only shows my domain name and nothing else. In the end i have had to use non framed forwarding so my links work, but stills shows my old forumotion domain. The info on the tutorial for this is ok if you have the same domain host as shown in the screen shots, but if you dont then its worthless.
