how do you rate the new update

i just wondering what people think of it

Absolutely nothing for the existing members but a few little bits all of which feature in phpbb's add-ons in less than a minute.
Oh wow invision must throw a party.
Yet we still have bugs on the existing forums but we can now use invision wtf?
Very very disappointing after all of the admins hype.

But I am looking for updates for my users not for me. The list of updates given were not really needed.

Sorry Typlo I really wanted to give some good words but I can't.

A couple of the items wont work on my D&D site.

I dont think its as bad as last time and invision although useless would have taken alot of work so i gave it 3/10 I wont use a single thing(again) but i can see how some things would be helpful to others

The automatic activation digs up a security hole for people who uses it, as it makes banning Email addresses completely useless as hackers can use anyone's Email without knowing the password.

I wanted a Cash Mod. I wanted a Custom Title system. I wanted Custom BB codes. I wanted a skin changer.

I also lol'd at the fact that the chatroom hasn't been fixed, but they included Invision Board

...Although I make some good use of the Notepad in the Admin Control Panel, so...

Invision is cool to have as an option, but now my mods cannot moderate in



My current style, which is phpbb2 with my new skin from hitskin. They could yesterday with the new skin, why not now?

those updates were alright, i havent ried out invision yet, but i am keen to try it out, once some more bugs have been removed
As for the chatbox...id really like a fully working, non jumping one (in which i hope has been fixed in invision) but as iv been told it hasnt, and nor has it been fixed..yet...over 6 months after the problem, and after we were told that it would be fixed, many updtes later and its still not fixed up.

Some bits of the update is useful, such as the admin notepad,(i use it alot, good for keeping record of bans and warnings ) 7/10

Auto activated account???? Why? not so good, i dont trust it enough.2/10

Time bits, already there way before we were told about it, i was useing it but still not that great. 5/10

Deletion of cookies....wtf was this for? useless...i use clearprog to remove cookies 0/10

Active posters ect. ... Dont use it, useless update (again =[ ) 1/10 but understand the point of it

Domain names...Dont use it otherwise twas a good update 7/10

Login page on index...good, but not the greatest. good idea still soo...

So all in all i give a 30/70 which equates 5/10(i think thats right)
An average update

The only good update I liked was the Admin Notepad. That was the only senseful update that was worthy. The others- why even bother with them? I believe all of these updates are gonna be a major fail just like the RPGs were. Like Ecarminan said, we should of really needed some non-customed, already-made profiles like the Cash Mod and some other great things.. I"m very ashamed ,and I thought we could do better with newer updates. But, it'll be a while untill more . Still thought we could do better, and I hope the staff will read this and see how we feel about the new updates.

i voted 9/10 just because the update isn't HUGE it doesn't mean its bad :S those new options and things in AP are really cool... w8 for your cash mod you don't need to flame their work

Yea, Caihlem, some users here (not looking at anyone in particular) Do seem to go blind when reading that bit, otherwise they just cut to the bit about the update (what they are) and dont bother reading anything else.
And i thought theese updates with the users were coincided with the Admin one, but thats how i interpreted it.
