Solved Siggy malfunction

It was noticed by the admin that some of the forum version will have to manually check the 'Always attach my signature' to attach a siggy on some version of forum. I guess mine is 1 of the version. What i wanted to ask is can this be solve? or the only way is to upgrade to different version of forum? will i have to do all the settings, templates and appearance again if i upgrade to another version?

A user only has to select it once and then save, it will then stay that way until they change it.
