Yes, you can earn money by putting banner ads on your forum. As for the points, they are for enhancing your forum. The idea of the donation system, is that people can donate and know that their money will go into the forum, not be turned into cash for you to spend on something else. For this reason I don't think there is any way to convert your points into real money.

just to clear it up ther is no possible way to convery points, and to get google adsense go and read the instructions on the google add page.
