Remove icons

How do i remove these icons, at the bottom of the homepage?

# No new posts
# Forum is locked

I would personally go for an invision board.

Ok, you go to admin panel=> then Display=> then Picture management=> advanced=> and the second tab, "Icons for the forum" remove the links and there you go. just save and they are gone

I did that but the names still remain, how do i remove those text.

I can remove the images, but the text still remains.

you upload first new icon
become the icon old ones will be vanished.

Thats what, i don't want the icons really to change.
They should only be removed from that homepage.

I have tried that, it just hides the image. The text still remains.

Those footer can removed on admin panel. Its same way for all version. Just navigate to :

admin panel=>General=>Message & Email=>Message Fields

look for this option "Display the caption of the posts status", choose NO then click the Save button.
