What is the best type of forum to make?

What is the best type of forum to make? I see Lots of advertising forums and that is just getting too stupid. what type of forums do you like to run? Please do not include links, this is just a genre topic.

It either has to be something which you are really passionate about or a help forum.

But from personal experience and what I've seen;
The best forums, and most of the forums that last, are done by an Admin who'se passionate about something. Meaning the forum came after the passion. A forum for the sake of a forum doesn't work
