Featured Member

is there a way to have a featured member, or a member of the month (car of the month in my case) that i could put on the portal or the home page?

You can make a rank and group with the same name like V.I.P. in your needs.

ok so here is my portal. right there where the gallery is, is there anyway i can change that to a little welcome thing for new visitors, and then mention the member of the month?

You can use graphics to type on the picture if you wanted to.

You can also type a message box to go onto your portal as well. While you are in your portal management, create a new custom box. That should help you.
