Prevent Topic creation

I was wondering if there is a way to prevent users of creating new topics on certain forums, but I want them to be able to post messages on them.

That means, Users can post messages in topics, but they can't create new topics.

Can somebody help me? ::::

In admin panel,
General>Forum>Categories and forums

Click on that specific forum where you want such settings.
Then click on permissions tab
There is option for 'reply a message' (For members, check it)
There is option for 'Open a topic' (For members uncheck it)

See if this works.

Well, when I get to the permissions tab the options are these:

View the forum and its messages : (ALL)
Write topics OR messages : (MEMBERS)

And that's it, I can't be more specific in the permissions Sad

Click on the small + icon between the two save icons, after that you will be able to see.

on the left hand side, do you see any advanced mode? Click on advanced mode.

Rest you can set it up as per your preferences, about what administrators, moderators, guests, members can do for that specific forum.
