Help With HTML Codes

I have a forum at itsadollthang.forumotion.com and the Problem is I cannot figure out how to make backgrounds in my posts using basic HTML code I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to that or if you have a tutorial of somesort that could tell me I would Really appreciate it. Thank you Suzi

You probally have to enable HTML in both your profile and your admin panel.
