Multiple Polls

Hey guys,

I think that we should be able to post multiple polls in one thread. I think that this would help and it would be very usefull for the suggestions to my forum. I would have people send me all of their suggestions and everymonth I could make a thread and put a poll on for each suggestion so that they are all in the same place and everyone can vote quickly and easily. Because suggestions are what make forums grow.

Ehhh, I put yes as it has some perks to it, but it really won't be needed in many cases.

A suggestion for your forum though, you can have a section in your forum where members can post their suggestions whenever they come up with them and make a poll (similar to what we do here).

Well I want them all to be on 1 thread.

I used to be on a forum that had this, it was a semi fun feature so I vote yes

I voted no because it can be very confusing with multiple polls on the same topic. It might sound weird, but having more than one type of discussion in the same topic might be a bit hard to follow. Surely the word "topic" means a specific type of discussion?

Well topic is like a thread. It can be about anything. And I dont think that it would be that confusing. You dont have to use it, but I think that it would be useful for my forum. I would have all the users send my their site suggestions and then everyweek I would gather them and put them in one post. I think that it would look more profesional. I would not allow anyone but admins to post in the suggestions section. Thanks for posting and voting though.

I see the usefulness of multiple polls, but really don't know how it would help the majority of forums?

So, for now im not going to vote, i wish to see what everyone else say's.

ok Well If you dont understand what I was saying or didn't put it. (not critism or sarcasm.) I think it would be cool to have a weekly voteing section that only admins can post. People would send me suggestions and I would put them in a thread in the voting section. It would save space on my forum. Instead of having a bunch of posts in the suggestions section.

Multiple Polls = Multiple topics

I like the idea to this a whole lot. It may not currently apply to my forum per se, but I think that this idea/function would very much apply to our current "Suggestion for your forums" area. We could have someone in charge of sifting through all PMed suggestions every week or month and have those suggestions presented in polls in one thread. It would greatly reduce clutter as well as reduce any redundant suggestions that may be posted by members.

In addition, this could just be an option if others do not like the idea of having multiple polls in one thread.
