Hello ReaperXL7,

You could kind of make an application upon registration. Adding customized fields and admin-approval would work great with this type of thing. Having admin-approval would mean you can refuse the member's registration application or accept it.

For the customized fields, go to:

1) Administration Panel
2) Users & Groups Tab
3) Profiles (on the left, under Users)
4) Member Application AjouterCreate a personalized profile
5) Choose your type of field
6) Fill in the fields as necessary
7) Check 'Obligatory' to Yes
8) Modification: Member himself

For admin-approval, go to:

1) Administration Panel
2) Users & Groups Tab
3) Users options (on the left, under Users)
4) New accounts activation, check it to: Admin

Yes, this is possible. To do this, go to:

1) Adminstration Panel
2) Display Tab
3) Pics management (on the left, under Pictures and Colors)
4) Advanced Mode
5) Forum main logo, then change the address of the picture

Hope that helps! Smile

thanks.

On the forum that I help admin, we created a topic where guests have permission to post on to post their request for membership. We have specified what information that they should put in the post.

I have been searching for information on looking up a future members ip before they get approved so we can make sure that someone that was banned isn't trying to return. And without any luck which means you can't. However, I just realized that by having a possible member post as a guest, I can now look up their ip that is linked to the post as part of the review process before approving their membership.

thanx for your help. Without this thread, I may have spent several hours searching.

You might want to add something like this CONTACT FORM
You can change or add the fields as you see fit. You can add that to your registration page, then wait to approve members based on the info you receive.
just a thought...

The contact form is a good idea. And I will keep it in mind.
