How do you mark a thread solved?

I am wondering how to mark a thread solved. I have activated the feature under General>>Messages and Emails>>Display Button [solved]
Now how do I mark a thread in my forum solved.

Hello,

You need to create an image to be used as your "Solved Tag". Once you have one, go to your Admin Panel > Display > Pics Management > Advanced Mode > Topic Icons and click on Create.

Once you have filled in the required fields, click save. Now, when your members have their problems solved, all they need to do is click the edit button on their first post in the thread, and click the Solved Tag, and then Send.

Thank you to both of you, I will do that now. But what is the point of the Display Button [Solved] under messages and emails.

You first have to activate the "allow modification of the topic title" first.
Then you will have the solved button option.

I agree with Daijiro on the useless bit
