What does it mean by "Open a Topic"? In Forum Permissions Control, I mean. And also, how do you keep the "Log in automatically" box unchecked after you've accidentally checked it once? It won't stay unchecked for me.

Open a Topic mean start a New Topic
You log out and then you un-cheak it.

Open a topic,
create a new thread, in which can be made a sticky or announcement and/or can be replied to by fellow members.

Try logging OUT than go to the "log in" screen via the navigation bar at the top of the forum, and sign in there BUT before you hit "sign in" untick the "log me in automatically" box.

I hope this has helped out out.

Go to admin panel>users and groups> user settings
check" Default auto. log in" switch to NO

Log out, clear you cookies and cache, reset your browser, uncheck the "Log me in automatically" box and try it again.
