Forum is too wide. Please help
my forum is too wide . You have to scroll across to read the whole page. I did a search and tried a few things but It's still the same way. Can someone shed some light on what I'm missing to fix it?

Re: Forum is too wide. Please help
hello,
there is two ways for you to decrease your forum width.
first method is by adjusting it on admin panel
another method is by placing a CSS code on stylesheet.
there is two ways for you to decrease your forum width.
first method is by adjusting it on admin panel
Forum width (number or %) : 'Set it value you want to be'. commonly people will use around '80%'. Press 'SAVE'Admin panel :: General :: Configuration :: Pages Structure
another method is by placing a CSS code on stylesheet.
on white empty box there, you can paste this code (for phpbb2) :Admin panel :: Displayl :: Picture & Color :: Color :: CSS Stylesheet
- Code:
.bodylinewidth {width:80%}

I tried it both ways and it stayed the same. Does it take a while for it to work? I even went down to 50% just trying to see what happened but it didn't change. I did hit save by the way. I've been messing with this part for about 3 houirs and it has me stumped

Re: Forum is too wide. Please help
tried it again. same thing. This is what I put in the box.
.bodylinewidth { width:80%}
I pushed submit and it said that it was updated but it's still too wide for the screen. This is the second forum I've made and the first one worked fine. Like I said before I even put in 50% just to see if it would drop but nothing happened.

Re: Forum is too wide. Please help
lol i found your real problem there, its not about CSS fault at all. the problem cause by you skin picture.
this skin here : http://en.hitskin.com/search-a-skin/dead-city-114194.htm has use super large images as background & logo,
background size is 1213px (W) x 859 (H) BACK
Logo size is 1120px (w) x 210px (H) LOGO
somehow this images prevent your to re-size forum width respectively. So all you need is replace it both images with smaller width of images,
then reupload it back here :
Background images goes to 'Background picture (page) :'
preview it HERE
good luck
