Length of Posts?

Hi,

I am beginning to move my board over here and am in the process of copying a number of articles from our Resources forum. I ran into a little snag this morning.......the length of the article is too long.

From having read through some previous posts, I see that I cannot increase the number of characters a post will hold.

My questions are these: Does anybody know how many characters I can fit on a post? If so how many? Does it even go by characters? I'm wondering if there isn't a way around it but I have already tried deleting information that isn't so important and spacing.

Any suggesdtions?
