Limit on double/triple post

Hello all ForuMotion Users.

I would like to suggest something that would be great forum this forum or any forum that has a rule saying you can’t double or triple post within 24 hour period. You cant double or triple post with in 24 hours. You can active or disable this option in a section or a forum. You can also change the limit on how long the member can post again right after their post. If a user tries to do this a message will come up say:

I’m sorry but double/triple posting is not allowed in 24 hours. Please use the edit button to input your edited content.

You can also change the message saying what ever you want.

This would work great for a game section

Like count to 100 or guessing game.

P.S. This will save the staff the time and post to say you cant double/triple post =)

I requested this for the ForuMotion Support forum long ago (only to relieve stress off of the Staff), but it got turned down.

Isn't that the reason you have moderators on forums? To enforce the rules? I cannot see the point in having this when the same can be achieved using people that are supposed to do it.

Voted yes, I'm tired of having to go back and merge every single double post and I don't want to raise the flood limit. It's already at two minutes between posts!

Voted yes, but there should also be an option to make it for double posting OR triple posting OR quadruple posting. Also the 24 hour delay should be changable to say like 1 hour or 5 hour etc.
