How u make these wicked banners? (its a request) :P

Ok, i have seen all these cool banners, like the ones by pacific and things. How do you maker them? what do you use?

To create a banner you will need a program that creates graphics.
Such programs are (for example)
adobe photoshop
Gimp
paintnet
and more.

Using those programs, and if needed resources* you create a banner
*recources may be found on stock photo sites and deviantart or similar
