retrieve deleted topics?

is this possible? we recently set up our group on forumotion having been kicked out from msn! we r simple folks (a group of mums who want to chat about our kids) so its all a bit technical for us but a topic has been deleted but wasnt meant to be! oops.
can we get it back or is it gone for good?

If it has been deleted and not garbaged to the trashcan, then sorry but no you can't get it back.

Once Deleted it is out of the databass.

the only way you would be able to get that topic back, would be by using the Utilities, however you would lose ALL posts that have been posted since the restore happened.

The safest thing to do is to create a forum basket, make it a hidden forum and then delete your "Delete" moderation button. This way, when you want to delete a topic, you can simply basket it instead. Your members can't see it, so they think it's been deleted, but if you want to retrieve it, you can easily do it by going into the basket and pulling it out.
