what can be done with a mod sharing ISPs with forum members?

I'm a member of a site, not the admin or a mod.

But I know that a moderator has shared the ISP number details with at least one forum member via private message and hinted it on public fourm too.

Admin has been informed but is taking no action. (infact they were rather rude)

Surely this is illegal under the Data Protection Act?

Sharins IPs is illegal because it's private information ( like, name, mail, adress... ).
So you must contact the adminand say him to take measures.

This has been done. He replied that he is not anyone's performing puppy!

You can tell him that if he won't budge, his board can get deleted by Editboard for breaking the Terms of Service which forbids actions which breaks applicable laws (including the Data Protection Act)

If he still doesn't want, send the board link by PM to one of us (the Staff members who have the "Editboard Staff" orange bar), with the proofs (screenshots).
