How Send Announcement to All Members?

MSN have closed all groups 23rd February 09
I have had opened forum here not long after they announced closre but would like to send announcement to members who came along to register but not posted.
Sorry if this is in wrong place.
Just hope someone can come along to help as I am not very PC savvy

just send them all an e-mail from your e-mail account, they will re-join in your new forum.

sorry as far as I know forumotion does not have a way of doing this. you will have to do it from your own e-mail.

I Users and groups>handle users
you can choose to Inform-deactivate-delete members.
Send a message to INFORM
you can choose which members to send an email to.
either by last visit, haven't posted since X days, or less than X messages

In your case you can select to sort by members who have never posted.
You can alter the default msg that says something like " an admin. of the forum has deemed your acct inactive...click on the link to continue to be part of the forum"
you can put whatever you want to say instead, and send it out to those members.

fantastic I see now how this can be done.


It would be good if we had also the means to just make special Announcements but no doubt I can work around this.
