Is there email notification for new posts/topics?

Dear all,

I am the admin of a forum with the basic features and I was wondering if there is an option in the administration panel to automatically send a notification email to each user each time a new post/topic is published. Otherwise, users need to check every once in a while - most of the time in vain - resulting in the weariness of many.

If there is not such a feature, it would be a shame!

There is an option of
Profile>Preferences
Always notify me of replies :Sends an e-mail when someone replies to a topic you have posted in. This can be changed whenever you post.

In addition to watch Sanket said, members can chose to "start watching forum" which will alert you to new posts, even new topics that you haven't posted in.
Of course they would have to go through and select that option on each forum.

But is there a way to send automated emails to all users whenever there is a new post regardless if they are watching the forum or not?

I am affraid, there isn't.
