Solved don't want calendar events to display on the forum?

When I add an event to the calendar, it automatically starts a new thread in the forum. How do I get it not to do this.

I don't think that is possible.
You can make a new forum for Calendar, with permissions for admin only(or admin/ mods etc), and attach the calendar to the calendar forum.
Then that forum and new threads created with the events will only show to the admin (or admin/mods), not to regular members.
Of course only admin(admin/mod) can add events in that case, not members.
