Solved Linking problems

Post by tozol April 1st 2009, 12:03 am

Hi guys, and first let me apologise, as I'm a complete noob at all this, and working on a project alone, and already been at this today for over 5 hours, and its driving me mad.

I have a gaming website, and podcast set up at
www.crankygamersuk.net
(temporary home for now)
And I just need some way to create a link to the new forums I have been messing around with today on here.

And I simply have no idea at all how to do it, using blogger

I also have a free wordpress site, I'm hopefully going to set up a more permanent home at, , so if its possible there, then I will have to try and get it linked there sooner than I hoped.

So guys anyone please give me some idea how to link this new forum set up here, either on blogger or wordpress, and I do mean an easy way, lol

thanks

tozol

I thought this support forum was suppose to be for ForuMotion though?

Anyway, you can always have a drop-down list that can redirect you to other areas by simply clicking on it and finding a site to enter.
Here's the code :

Code:
<div id="EchoTopic">
<form name="jump2">
<select name="menu" onchange="location=document.jump2.menu.options[document.jump2.menu.selectedIndex].value;" value="GO">
<option value="">TITLE OF DROP-DOWN LIST HERE</option>
<option value="LINK HERE">SELECTION TITLE HERE</option>
<option value="LINK HERE">SELECTION TITLE HERE</option>

</select>
</form>
</div>

Hope that helps;

Hiya, and thanks for replying.

I think you may have misunderstood my problem.

My website above, is my home for my gaming podcast.
I made some forums here today at formation
and I cant make a link from my web page to my forums here.

That's what I cant do.

thanks

So you are wanting to have links set up on your Blogger to link to your ForuMotion forums?

Then post the following code into one of your gadgets on Blogger with the selected links :

Code:
<div id="EchoTopic">
<form name="jump2">
<select name="menu" onchange="location=document.jump2.menu.options[document.jump2.menu.selectedIndex].value;" value="GO">
<option value="">TITLE OF DROP-DOWN LIST HERE</option>
<option value="LINK HERE">SELECTION TITLE HERE</option>
<option value="LINK HERE">SELECTION TITLE HERE</option>

</select>
</form>
</div>

Again, (once added) you are able to have a drop-down list displaying the linked websites that you entered in the code.
