Ranking system and deleting topics.

Hi all,

I recently deleted old topics and it affected the member ranks. i.e. I run a football forum and the members start off in the conference league and after so many posts they move up to the next league until they reach the premier league. Anyway, after deleting the topics all members had been put back down to the lower leagues. How can I stop this happening when deleting old topics?

Don't delete the old topics.
Send them to the basket/trashcan/ whichever instead. (without pruning of course)
You can chose which forum to use as the receiver of the posts you send to

(general>forum>configuration)

or make a called locked admin only forum called ex:archives and just move the topics there.
