i was wondering if i can remove things like calender and stuffs like that from navigation bar
if i can how do i do that?

If its the nav bar on homepage you are talking about

admin > display > pictures and colours > pics management (advanced mode) > scroll down til you see your nav bar buttons > beside the button you wish to remove, click on 'see examples' > click the 'hide' box and save
