Security? Re: Guests
Hey there. I will randomly check "who is online" and there will be guests (mostly from Japan), no worries because it usually says "viewing the forum index" which is no biggie. But today a guest was view a sub-catagory. I've always assumed that only a member would be able to browse around?
I'm concerned about our security now? Do I need to be worried?

Hello,
No, you dont have to be concerned.
A guest was viewing a subcategory, because he/she was allowed to.
(check your categories/forums/subforum's permission - set to guests to view = the guests can view it)
A guest is just a potential member who may be able to join ur forum, they just need to be convinced

Thanks Darren,
But I still am confused as the "permissions" setting for that sub-forum is set for "members only".
Now I'm wondering if access can be gained by google and caches pop up?
