Forum Status *urgent help needed*

i want to make a list that will check other forums if they are on or off, so basically i want it so it automatically updates itself too

for example,

FORUM	STATUS
help.forumotion.com	online

i have been shown this code.

if this works can someone tell me? and if it does where do i put it?

if it doesnt work where can i get a code for it?
