Forum backup

Hello,
I wished to know, if it is possible to make some forum backup? Of course I have noticed that in administration is something called “Daily backup – Active”. But how does that work? If somebody hack my forum, delete it so than I can restore the whole board through this? And does exists some kind of backup, which would allow me to download the whole forum – to gain an opportunity to browse it even offline (I mean really like it is possible to see it through internet, with all its posts, personal messages, users, graphic interface, etc., or at least all its posts).

Yes, I have seen this before. I meant some tool which would allow me to download for example all the text from all posts on our forum.
