Making Forum Private

I seem to be having a lot of problems with lurkers from another gardening forum, how can I make my forum only viewable to members only and when they open the link they see this ?? and not the index page

In the forum permissions, for guests disallow everything.

So in there mark all for members only ?? on each of the forum sections ]TIA

For members, mark it according to what you want on the forum.

Since you don't want guests to do anything. Uncheck everything for guests.

Thanks for you help, most members say they have to log in each time and others say if password saved they go straight into the index page now ??
