Okay Jonas, i will try my best.

Step 1: Admin Panel> Users & groups>Users options
There you will find after you scroll a little
Maximum user age :
Minimum user age :

You need to add the max user age & min user age that you want on your forum, so if you want members above 15 & below 70 in your forum.
It will be like
Maximum user age : 70
Minimum user age : 15

Just hit save then.

Step2: Now, Admin Panel> Users & groups>Profiles
Age on website 117eh3p
https://2img.net/h/oi43.tinypic.com/117eh3p.jpg (Open the image to see the enlarged copy)

Inside that there will be
Obligatory: Check the Yes box

Then hit save.

Do you understand now?

I do believe there is an international legislation that says members on a forum must be over 13 years old.

Oh he wanted it to be below 13?

Well the minimum user age should be 13 as forums do require atleast users above 13.

Try using firefox, if you are using IE, you should wait for things to appear.

Hey,

You are not allowed to have members on your forum who are under the age of 13. It's for their own safety.

It's to do with internet safety. People under the age of 13 may be ignorant to real life issues of sexual harassment etc.

I don't make the rules. I can't do anything about it. Forumotion are legally not allowed to lower the age limit to any of it's forum to under 13. Go speak to your government if you really have a problem.

Well the age is supposed to be 13. they are the rules.
But i did create a place for my niece and her friends.
but the thing is my sister and all the other children's parents run it.
Plus they do not let anyone in they do not know. there even a few parents that are police officers on there.

so basically it's a private place for kids ran by the parents.
as far as what your asking the only thing i can say is there supposed to be 13. it's possible that you could even loose your forum for have members under the age of 13. but don't quote me on that.

just to be safe i would keep it 13 and up. As messed up as this sounds. a public forum with children on it sounds a Lil dangerous to me Donald duck or not.
