how do i activate html in posting

i want to activate html in posting but i cant find the place to activate it in admin panel.

admin panel>General. on the left you will see (messages and emails)
click on (configuration) then scroll down and you will see allow HTML.click yes and hit save.

Now go back to the forums index and click profile>profile preference.and enable your HTML there as well and hit save.

then thats it now your HTML id on for the whole forums and post.

This is an extension of the original question.

After I activated HTML, I went back to post it. I have the embed coding for a media player through 4shared.com. When I look at the post in preview, I get the box I want, but when I submit the post it reverts back to text form. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
