More secure forums

Post by Dark Takua on June 9th 2009, 8:49 pm

Wouldn't it be better, if the regular administrators could not touch the administrator group, only the founder could ? I mean, wouldn't it be safer?

Voted yes. You can never be too safe when promoting an Administrator knowing they also have the abilities to switch the groups around.

Why would it? An administrator can delete all users, close the forum for holidays, remove the css, but he would not be able to add an other administrator?

No, like the founder only can add administrators.

How would this make a forum "more secure"?

This sounds pretty darn stupid to me.

I'm sorry, but i'm actually voting no on this one

Wouldn't want this... Why would they be in the administrator's group then?

This happened to me once. I have one Administrator (other than me).

I was gone for a couple of days, and he felt the need to delete all the inactive members (around 50) and left only the active ones (around 20)...

Then he made someone else an Administrator and the kid took the chance and fucked with members' profiles.

I voted yes.

Doc I think you know the rule about posting forum links that aren't in the Promotion Section Please don't do it again.
