Finding Users That Registered, Unlocking Forum

OK I made the site and ready to add users, my girlfriend registered, but when I search for her by name ro ID , it says' "No such user exists". So I tried to log out, and register, not log in, register the same info and it says "this user name is already taken". I am the only registered user so far, so I don't get if I registered with that name, and it says its taken, why can't I find her?

The bottom says "forum is locked" So I read the posts on how to unlock the forum, allow new users on the user options section, and it still says locked.

I've read and tried everything.

Can someone please help me so I can get my group active.

Look in th inactive users list

The Forum is locked is just a legand saying this symbol tells me what is what.
