Solved Domain up for renewal

Post by disdreamer June 27th 2009, 5:39 pm

My domain is up for renewal soon, but would like to change it to something totally different. Does it give an option to purchase a new domain? I've already purchased my credits.

You can renew it or let it expire and get a new domain.

So once the year is up I can then purchase a new domain with no problem what so ever. Still have 3 weeks before its up. Just wanted to make sure I can purchase a new domain once it up.
Thx MrMario

Solved Re: Domain up for renewal

Post by disdreamer June 29th 2009, 12:19 am

I'm really new at this so hope I'm not asking to many questions. When you say expires, is there a time from when it's up for renewal until time it expires? Also once it's up for renewal and on the renewal date I don't renew it, will it automatically devert back to .forumotion .com and will there be any impact on my forum, ex: members not being able to get on or forum lost forever.?
Sorry for so many questions.
Thanks for all your help.

The data that you bought it you have a year. it will say you have 30 days left. When that 30 days it up you have two options:

1. Renew
2. Not renew

That url that you brought will go back to the old one when you made the forum.

All members will be redrected to the old url.

But I do belive when that days comes it expires thats just that.

Hope that explains it better Smile

I understand. I do have 21 days left. Right now it states, Renewal or Delete. So I guess I will delete it when the time comes and purchase a new domain.
Thank you so much for your time and help.
Greatly appreciated.
