portal

iv added a portal but i dont want the portal to be the first page that comes up when my website address is entered, i want it for my chatbox only. so i want my forum the first page and the potal as an option above!! can anyone help to change this please

I'm not sure I understand what your asking...
A portal's only use is front page, so if you don't want it, I'd advise you don't have one.
Then, if you want a chatbox, either intall it in your forum somewhere, or have a topic 'chatbox', were anyone can talk in it. This can be done by going on
Forum Admin -> Management -> the selected forum -> Edit -> Forum Permissions control -> and make everything ALL
