Number Fields under Member profiles

So I want to make a new number field. I named it soda. It is not running. I want people to post and get more soda each time they post. They are not getting their soda.

Your 'soda' will not increase it self automatically, you must do it manually.
Only the points system do it automatically.

Weird, on my friends site, it goes up automatically each time I post.

You are so going to get banned.

Is there a way to fix this?

How did they make points go up automatically?

As Darren stated, you use the Points system to achieve a certain amount of points ('soda' in your case) per post/friend comment/thread you make. To manage the settings of the Points system feature, navigate:

1. Administration Panel
   
2. Modules tab
   
3. Points and reputation -- Points system
   
4. By default, you will be on the General options tab. This is where you can activate your points system on your forum and change the name of the 'points.'
   
5. You will also see another tab in this section, and it's called 'Points management.' That is where you can manage how many points a user can get from doing specific objectives.

What you are looking for is Points Donation:

1. Administration Panel
   
2. Modules tab
   
3. Points and reputation -- Points donation
   
4. From there, you can donate any amount of points to any user on the forum.

You can rename 'Points' to 'Soda' if you like.
