edit post button missing

I have given permission for guests and members to edit their own posts but edit button missing please advise

I don't think you have let guest edit their posts.
Where did you do it in the admin panel?

in categories and forums permissions advanced mode it indicates that permission is given to all users to edit their posts where should i go in administrtaors panel to recheck permissions

Check it for guests. i was trying the edit button as a guest.

General>Categories and forums
Click on any forum name

Permissions tab

Check there.

checked went to child sexual abuse permission for guest to edit their posts is checked still no edit button

Can i see a screenshot of this please.

It may be the skin your using. Some skins miss out a button, or they have it, it just blends in with the skin.

Try using another one.
