Option To Upload Images Direct From Our computer.

I have noticed that at present on all Forumotion forums. That members can upload their avatar directly from their PC without having to link to an URL on the web.
However we cannot do this if we want to display images in our messages. We have to instead link to our image URL on Serving or another image hosting site on the web.
I think there should be an option for us to upload our images directly from our computer in our messages.Instead of linking to it on the web. This I prefer as sometimes when you host you image on the web it gets deleted. Also it's inconvenient having to log into your image hosting account on the web to copy the URL.
Some other forum services already have direct image upload from your computer. I am not talking about attachments, I mean images and photos.
I think this is worth suggesting here for our Forumotion forums.

The Host an Image option, does the same I think.

Well I know we can upload our avatars from our computer without linking to it on the web. But I and other members have found that,to display images in forum post.We have to link to it on the web. I noticed we cannot upload our images direct from our computer.

I am talking about uploading images direct from the computer & not the avatars.

Yes I have an account with Serving the FM image host. But for the image to show in the forum posts we have to post the image URL.
Where as if we could instead upload direct from our computer desktop instead of URL linking,I find that easier.

I really am unable to understand you. If the image needs to be added, it needs to be added via Bbcode or html with the image url.

So could the feature already be there in the attachments feature?
As I have also seen the feature to upload attachments which I think you have to set up in the admin panel. But it did not work for me. It never displayed the images. Maybe the attachments feature is not for images or photos,just files?

Yes I have seen the screenshot.
So if I upload my images that way as shown in the screen shot,the image will then be displayed in my forum posts,without me having to link to the URL on serving first?
Is that right?

Once you upload the image, you get a url.
Then add the url inside this.

Yes it works. But you still have to link to the image URL on Serving.com.
Where as, when you upload an avatar from your PC it displays automatically, in your profile without having to link to it by URL.
Also on some V Bulletin boards for example,you upload the JPG image from your computer without having to URL link.
So I don't think there is this features as yet on Forumotion. Unless maybe we enable attachments and upload the image as an attachment instead.

Yes just tried that it works. So it looks like we do have this feature,just that we have to add the URL.
