Auto Email. Empty Auto Email.

Post by TheIcePack July 24th 2009, 10:59 pm

Members on my forum are automaticly noticed on their e-mail whenever another reply has been made in a topic they responded in.
I know a user can turn this off, but isn't their a way I as admin can make sure that this option is already turned off when a member is registering on my forum?

Not possible as of yet. There is a suggestion in the suggestion section for this but we don't know if Forumotion is working on it or even if they want to.

Please, Please, Please!

Obviously this is an issue because I came here today looking for the same help. I am sure that TheIcePack and I are not the only two memebers on the whole place that would like to see this changed...

Mr Mario, yes there is you boob. Very Happy [That was a joke...]

Right, it will be long and stressful but:

Go ACP > Users and groups > Click on the user names > Scroll down to preferences and click 'No' to 'Always notify me of replies :'

That should do it. Then save.

Look for the suggestion of this in the Suggestion section, you're not the only ones...

The Admin can't turn it off all at once you or the member will need to do it themself.

Highlight: Click on the user names

That means click the userNAMES. Not all at once. Each one. XD
