Its a acronym of What You See Is What You Get.

WYSIWYG implies a user interface that allows the user to view something very similar to the end result while the document is being created. In general WYSIWYG implies the ability to directly manipulate the layout of a document without having to type or remember names of layout commands. The actual meaning depends on the user's perspective.

i benefit from it,

example when i enter this code when i post a image
Code:
[img ] url of image[ /img]

instead of it showing me the code in my typing box till i post it, it will show me the image in my typing box. and it works like that for all the code, instead of showing you the code it shows what the code will create once its sent. lol not sure if you will get that either

Very Happy oh well its the best i can explain lol

Just look at the acronym. What You See Is What You Get. ie. whatever you are currently seeing is what the end result is.
