favicon help?

ok so im trying to make the favicon thing work.
i've already made it, got the url of my favicon, tried to put it in the meta tags...

this is where im stuck!
what meta tag type do i put?

im not sure how to do this!!!
anyone pleasee HELP!!??

Favicon don't go in meta tags. Upload it and then use the link for it in the following path

Admin Panel --> General --> Configuration

Yes, you probably tried follow an old guide, this feature has been added since the guide's last update.

ok so i just put the link of the favicon but it's not working...

is there a code i need to put in it? o.O

The url must end in ~ .ico , for the favicon to work.

He just clicked on the image to go to the single webpage.

You can't upload a favicon that's on the host website. You need it to be the only image on a blank page, Wink
