Private Messages Number

Hello. I have a problem with my forum profile's private messaging count. Well I'm not sure if its a problem or not, but when viewing my stats in the LOG IN widget, it shows my private messages like this:

Posts: 225
Private Messages: 0/7
my profile

I have deleted all my messages from each category except one. Will it still count the messages I sent over a lifetime? (Had sent 7 messages to a user so far)

Hi,

the number "7" means there is 7 PM's in either ur sent box, or ur out box Wink

Maybe u haven't deleted the 7 PM's huhohi

I checked all my boxes and this is the result:
My inbox - 0 messages
My Sentbox - 1 messages @ 4% full
My outbox - 0 messages
My savebox - 0 messsages

I think on the General Tab of Admin's panel, at the bottom says something like reset or sync a user's post and reset private messages to 0. I guess that's what I have to use to get the 0/0 count again?

Thats not right.

Try clearing ur cache & cookies before u reset ur PM & post number please.

Ok, I have deleted the cookies via "Delete the forum's cookies" link on homepage.

I logged back in but its still the same number for private messages - 0/7. Shall I reset PM? I just want to reset PM and not my number of posts.

and no one has answered my recent question yet...Is there a way to reset number of PM's without resetting number of posts?

sorry about the delay of responses' all of us regular helpers are quite busy right now Wink

Are you sure there's nothing in ur PM's - Check all of ur folders, if there is nothing there then it is a glitch in the database still showing that there's 7 messages there

I checked again, and there's nothing in my PM's.
Inbox - 0 messages
Savebox - 0 messages
Outbox - 0 messages
sentbox - 0 messages

and my status is Private Messages: 0/7...

Ok, I just used the Misc Options in the Forum Configuration to update the number of posts and reset my PM's. The option didn't delete my posts.

Interesting how none of the responders said to do that from the beginning. I actually mentioned it myself. Oh well. Thanks again for the help though.

it's the first i am seeing of the thread.
but i would have been unsure if it reset the post count or not?
Anyway

Since the problem appears to be solved i will now lock the thread
