Re: Making Image Transparent;
You'll need a photoshop program which costs money... unless you use the trial version for free.

Re: Making Image Transparent;
- Spoiler:
- 1. Open your image in photoshop
Select "File > Open" and choose the image file that you would like to make transparent.
2. Add another layer
Select "Layer > New > Layer" - this layer should have a transparent background (i.e. it should have checkered background).
Ensure that the image layer is above the new transparent layer that you've just added.
3. Remove the background from image
Using either the "Magic Wand" or "Lasso Tool" select that elements of the image that you would like to remove (i.e. the background).
4. Delete the background
Once you've selected the area you would like to delete, you can remove it through pressing the "Delete" button.
This should then remove the background and display the checkered background from the transparent layer that you added in step 2 above.
5. Save the image
When you've completed all the steps above and are happy the outcome, you need to make sure that you save the image.
There are a variety of formats that you can use such PSD, GIF, PNG, and many others.
One important point that you need to note is that saving the file using the JPEG format results in the transparency being lost, so it's probably best to use one of the other formats.
